Ta-da......
Here she is; the designer herself. My 8th grade Algebra student, Chloe. She and her mother are dying to know what my plans are with the quilt; fact be known: I have NO idea! I'm toying with the idea of holding it until graduation...... I've thought about raffling it off for some school sponsored event..... I really don't know!
So, I put it out on you......
If you were in my shoes, what would you do???
It looks fantastic. All the colors are so cheerful. Not a bad idea to use if for some school event...do you have a Math Club or some other thing that many of your students are interested in that you could support? If not maybe ask them what they think it should be used for. Nice work, and tell Chloe I like it!
ReplyDeleteChloe has designed a cool quilt! Do Chloe and her mom want it? Perhaps they could make a donation to the math department or media center or something for it?
ReplyDeletePerhaps Chloe and her Mum would like it? Or, if you want to donate it as a charity/fund-raiser quilt, maybe they would like to choose!
ReplyDeleteIf you really would like to keep it yourself - do so! I love the shading/grading of the colours!

I'm with the others - perhaps Chloe would like to have it? Or to choose what could be done with it? It's a great quilt that anyone would love to have I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteI think I'd have to make sure the designer got to keep it! What a great way to inspire a kid!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool thing that is-- for an 8th grader to design a quilt and then see it turned into a finished product like that. She definitely should have some say in where it ends up.
ReplyDeleteI suggest that it be raffled off for the school, and give Chloe credit as the designer.
ReplyDeleteWhy not ask Chloe? You could give her a few choices...... a) auction it off and give the money to a charity b) Auction it and give tthe money to a school program c) donate it to QOV or some other organization.
ReplyDeleteI think it turned out very well and she should be proud to have designed it. And you did an incredible job bringing it to life.
congratulations!!!
It turned out fantastic!! I really don't have a suggestion on what you should do with it!!
