We have had storms that did that to our sweet corn before. Most times it will come back up out of it. One year we had a storm that laid all the corn towards the north. The very next day we had a storm that pushed it to the south. LOL. The corn made it. Hope yours comes out of it. Winona
That does look pretty sad, and I thought we had it bad here in Brisbane yesterday: we were getting our driveway stenciled and the guy had to quit doing it and go home because the winds were so fierce that the spray was going everywhere but on the concrete.
Hello Amy, that is heartbreaking....bitterly cold here in Oz today..we live on the southern end of Victoria...I have finished the July BOM...thoroughly enjoying the BOM...thank you Amy...Regards Lyn
I hope it's still ok for you! We just had some powerful storms last night. I think it flattened the oats fields. I haven't been to check my little garden yet.
That stinks! Any chance it will right itself?
ReplyDeleteoh, so sorry! :(
ReplyDeleteUnless the roots pulled out from the ground or the stalks are actually broke off it should come back enough to still have sweet corn!
ReplyDeleteThat is amazing. I hope it pops back up.
