"Jared Takes a Wife" isn't a fitting name for this quilt; it was fitting for Bonnie's situation. So, I have renamed it to Green Beauty, since the block is Blackford's Beauty...and well, it's green.
I'm middle of sewing up the Blackford's Beauty block as part of your BOM and now I realize why this quilt (I l Ike the new name too) appealed to me so much (although I didn't realize it at the time because I didn't recognize the block): it's because I love the block. Thanks so much for introducing me to it!
Congratulations on getting another one finished to the flimsy stage. The borders look great. That green for the outer border is just right. Can't wait to see what you decide to tackle next.
Love, love, love it! I'm so jealous! Mine is much slower at coming together. I'm in the middle of putting the sashing in. I spent too much time this weekend doing other things. Some fun, some not too fun.
Ohh Green Beauty really is a beauty. I love your color choices. Good job. Winona
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love this one! Excellent job! Whose home will this one find its way to? Or are you keeping it because it is too sweet to give away?
ReplyDeleteIt is lovely, definitely has the right name
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning! I love everything about that quilt. I guess I might have to make one of my own. Thanks for the eye candy!
ReplyDeleteOH, it's Beauty-ful!!! lol
ReplyDeleteSeriously, I love it!!!
I'm not a green person, but your "Green Beauty" has won me over. It's gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteGreen Beauty is gorgeous! Good luck with your next goal.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you renamed this. Jared Takes a Wife really doesn't work. I'm looking forward to seeing how you quilt this. It's a stunner already!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Amy!

ReplyDeleteDoesn't that look great. I don't use much green, but you've worked out the colour combinations beautifully.
