RRCB - Step 3 DONE! Can I get an Halleluia!?!?

After dinner, while watching the Vikings (UNFORTUNATELY) beat the Eagles (blah), I de-papered all of the string blocks of Step #3 and then took about 30-45 minutes to trim them to 8.5" inches. All 60 are now complete. Total time: whew...roughly.....6-7 hours yesterday and again today, so.....12-14 total hours on Step #3. Bonnie, Bonnie, Bonnie! ;0)

AND, I lied on my recent post! **gasp**

I am NOT going to use my scrappy bonus triangles afterall. I have already cut and pieced a handful of Step 5 HSTs. But, I'm pooped! Time to shut down for the day. Plenty of time to tackle this step tomorrow.

DH, myself and Cassie played a game of Yahtzee again tonight; Cassie is pretty excited that she knows how to play now. DH is on vacation for the rest of the week, so looking forward to just "chillin'" with the family ;0)

  1. This step 3 of the new mystery looks like it's been a lot of work. I'm quite pleased now that I decided against it.

  2. I had heard there are a ton of HST on the next step. This quilt looks like a great scrap buster.

  3. Congrats on getting your strips done! I thought mine took a long time but doing the next step is taking me forever! I have them pieced now but am squaring them up. I sure hope I love this quilt. LOL Enjoy your family. :D

  4. Hallelujah! Way to go girl! I am WAY behind you but am enjoying my scrap string quilt at the moment, so I'm OK with bringing up the rear (so to speak!).
I love when you are on vacation and make lots of quilty posts :) I think you should retire! LOL

Congratulations! I haven't gotten back to mine, but my estimate for the last 40 is 15 hours. We sure do trust Bonnie don't we. What amazes me is she does them too, and I wonder how she finds the time with all her traveling. They take so long, but they sure are pretty, lol. Can't wait to see Friday's step.
