Yup, the posts keep coming and coming today!
Next on my additional to-do list: Fix furniture!
We have three tears in our two couches; so I grabbed some thread (WISH I had something heavier than just polyester!), doubled the thread up, and got busy.
All of the tears are in the seams. The "fix" isn't professional, but---- it's done! All of them! Mom will be so proud of me :D {{she made a comment during her last visit about .... with all the sewing skills I have, she wondered "why I hadn't sewed up the rips yet."}}
Then, I flipped the glider upside down to see what could be done with the one-time broken and one-time fixed spring. Paul fixed it last time, and it didn't take much to jimmy it back all good-n-"new." It just needed to be maneuvered and tightened up again.
I'm sitting in the glider right now. The broken spring is the main, middle one; and now that it's back to "new," the support under my tushie is back :)
Wow, company on the way has your house in tip top shape. It will all be amazing by the time they come.
ReplyDeleteYou have sure been busy. Good for you for fixing your glider and putting up some new pics. You will be ready for sure for your company...
ReplyDeleteThose hose clamps are handy little items aren't they? At your house they fix chair springs, at my house they hold up the shelves of the corner cabinet lazy susans.
ReplyDeleteI love that you mended your couches! I love the clamp repair!! Very clever.
ReplyDeleteGreat mending job and the display on the piano looks wonderful. You can tell a quilter lives here, the quilt wallhanging is beautiful. Love your lampshade, too.
ReplyDeleteWow - you are on a roll!! I need some of your energy to get my place gussied up.
