Driving driving driving. More like riding riding riding. Been on the road for about four hours now. Six more to go. Thank goodness for technology to help me keep my sanity.
Been reading blogs...trying to keep occupied. Just got scared out of my whits by a train next to the highway!
Looking forward to home even though it will mean work... laundry garden, animals... but at least it's home.
I don't know how people travel week after week. Specially Bonnie! That's one amazing lady.
Typing on a smartphone takes some practice and lots of patience!
We have crossed the ND / MN border...stopping for lunch. Sigh. Where are those ruby slippers ?
Maybe a nap? Time always seems to go faster while asleep. If not, I highly recommend chocolate at the next gas station. Pretzel m&ms help time fly by. Our usual drive is 8 hours, we did 11 last Thanksgiving and it was SO much longer.
ReplyDeleteAngela gives great travel advice! I always knit or handsew or read too. I hate to be bored! Way too hyper for just sitting. Even doing the driving makes me crazy...boring! SMILE!
ReplyDeleteCross your arms and blink.... that's quicker than tapping your heels three times :o)
ReplyDeleteOH yes Angela, pretzel M&M's are great. Also I always bring a puzzle book that involves asking questions to others in the car, it helps the time go by quickly also. We also play the A-Z billboard sign. You have to find words on billboards starting with A all the way to Z. No one can use the same word twice. Everyone has their own A-Z list, you yell the words out loud. Z can be anywhere in the word. It is fun and takes usually about an hour to play.
ReplyDeleteOh yea, X can be anywhere as well.
