So, since I bowed out for my 300th,
and again for my 400th post
and again for my 500th post...
Time to celebrate this one!!!!
I have nothing put together because this just snuck up on me, and I have no clue what I am going to put together because I'm amidst Christmas deadlines as my blog followers well know, but maybe this little promise of 'someffin-someffin' will pull you readers out of lurkdome; at least enough to say "HI!"
Many giveaways have different rules/guidelines/lalala, and I really will keep this easy for you.
So, ONE SIMPLE RULE: comment & tell me where you live (no addresses please, just city, state and/or country) and you're entered!!! :0)
Having said the simple rule, I do have one additional simple request....since I'm up to my NECK with Christmas deadlines, I'm wondering how many (IF any) home made gifts you have made for others for Christmas. (quilts, stitched towels, mug rugs, etc...)

AND {more importantly}, if you're still working on yours as I am mine.
(not required for entry, but would be nice to know I'm not alone).
Since all my deadlines need to be met by next Sunday (12/19/10), I'll keep this open until then. {{Do you hear me screaming from here??? Next SUNDAY already....holy buckets!!!}}

So, comment away, and one lucky winner can expect to get your own little quilty gift for Christmas (or shortly after depending on crazy Christmas shipping times).
My goal: stuff a Medium Size Flat Rate box full with whatever quilty-quilty I find :0)
*******Please be sure I can contact you by having your tools set up where I can reply if you are a fellow blogger (aka: change your No-Reply status), or leave your email in your comment. T'would be so sad to win but not allow me to contact you of your winnings******
UPDATE
I've put together PART of the giveaway package....take a peek at that post.

I think we're all mad, I'm always making things up to the last minute for any occasion, lol. Glad to have share at least some of your blogging journey and look forward to the next 600 posts.
Jane, UK
Congrats on 600 posts! I'm in St. Louis, MO. where is has been raining all morning and may change to ice later. :(
No homemade quilty gifts this year, but I do make candy for gifts. Cutting back this year on the kinds I make, so people will be getting more of the kinds I do make. Doubt they will miss any! :)

That's a lot of posts! Of course I am still busy making. It's par the course. I will probably not get everything done - also par the course. And I live in the Yukon.
Congratulations on so many posts!
I am in the process of baking cookies for a meeting I have this week and to give away. I need to make gift bags yet for co-workers who will get homemade biscotti. Otherwise no handmade gifts this year.
I decided years ago that Christmas is not about making myself crazy and what gets done, gets done. Though there is still a bit of crazy, just not as much.
I live in Princeton MN, where the weather is not very pleasant at the moment. The temps are dropping, it is snowing and the wind is howling. So my head will not be poked outside very much, except to the outdoor freezer (porch) where the Christmas cookies are being stored.
I have made some handmade gifts this year, but I'm not on a deadline to get anything done. If they aren't done, they will be birthday presents next year! No one but me knows of my Christmas plans, so I can change them if I want to. I live in Wisconsin, north of Milwaukee, and will probably get a ton of snow tonight, so it will be a good night for quilting.
I'm still sewing and quilting!!! Have a couple bags, thread catchers, etc done...but seems like things just keep piling up!!!
I live in Green Bay, WI. Supposed to be a snow storm tonight. Maybe I'll use that as an excuse to sew more :)
Congratulations on your 600th post!
I am perpetually behind in getting gifts made. I have a couple of Christmas gifts I have not started on yet and am also 6 yrs too late making a baby(!) quilt for a friend's son!! I constantly have to change the type of quilt I am planning to make for him. Considering how quickly I get to things, I guess I'll just wait for him to get married now! :)
All the best with your deadline - I am sure will get them all done in time. Happy holidays!
I live in Livermore, California.
Wow, congrats, Amy. You didn't know you had so much to say, huh?!
I am in Rockwall, Texas. It's a suburb of Dallas, Tx and yes, I'm still working on Christmas gifts and as usual, I'm behind too. I'm not making any quilts this year but other quilty and crafty gifts. Deadline? Hm, Christmas Day is what I'm aiming for. I still have snuggies to make, hats to finish, scarves to finish knitting, oh my..gotta get going, it's making me nervous just to think of all I need to finish. Merry Christmas and I hope you get everything done too.
First congratulations on the 600. Wow, and I don't mean white on white. I am in Thousand Oaks in S. California where the temperature is back up and it feels like summer again. I haven't even started yet, so friends are getting home made candy done in a crockpot and family are getting gift cards, so they can buy what they want. You are one busy lady so give yourself some slack. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
No quilty gifts this year, my hands just won't cooperate! (I have severe RA.) But my son said he would help me make some candy and spiced nuts on his day off this week. On the beautiful central coast of California (Santa Maria).
Congratulations on 600 posts from Youngsville, NC! I'm a follower and have seen your enormous list of things to finish before Christmas. What's really amazing is how much of them you've gotten done already. You have loads more energy than I do.
I usually make a lot of Christmas gifts every year and inevitably I'm working on them (and stressing about them) on Christmas Eve. This year I made a deliberate decision not to do that. No handmade gifts at all this Christmas. And although I've been tempted to break this, I've stuck with it and am much more relaxed.
I did want to thank you for your postings about each quilt you've quilted on your frame since you got it. It has really encouraged me to use mine more. I've had mine for about 3 years now, but have always been so intimidated by it. But now, I'm getting a lot more use out of it. It feels good to get quilts completely done!
Hi, I am from Alabama. I made 36 placemats for Christmas. They are all done, some are wrapped, and some are ready to be mailed, well almost. I hope to have them on their way Monday. The others will be hand delivered. Merry Christmas and happy 600th.
Happy 600th post! I'm from Black Hawk, SD, near Rapid City. I'm only making 1 Christmas gift this year, if it gets done it gets done, otherwise it'll be a birthday present for hubby. We're expecting our first baby in the next month, so I decided no homemade gifts this year. Usually I'm like you though, and have a huge list with deadlines creeping up. For the last several years, I've done a homemade gift for all 10 members of our family.
Hi Amy, congrats on 600 posts! At the rate I'm going that could take 10 years or more! Hope you get to use today for quilting, since I'm guessing you are quite snowed in! We were without power for 4 1/2 hours last night! Not locked in for handmade gifts, but do have a couple in mind.
Congrats on 600! I'm in Fairfield, OH and you know where that is! lol
I am still working on Christmas presents. I just bought fabric to make 4 more things, but I am told that they are really easy to make so I am hoping they will be done this week. The part that I am most worried about it binding 2 large quilts by the 25th!
I live in southcentral PA, about half an hour north of Hagerstown, MD.
I am embarrassed to admit I'm still working on my mom's last year gift of a rag quilt. At the last minute, my sibs decided we should all go together and get her a LazyBoy...so I got some flannel together and gave it to her with a note saying I'd make the quilt after the holidays...I didn't specify how far after though! I'd like to throw together a table runner or two but no promises!
Starkville, MS here.
I'm from Costa Rica, congrats in your 600th posts!!!!, way to go!!!!. I'm from Costa Rica, and let's see: I already made some quilts for christmas swaps, they're appliqued (2 Santas and 1 Nativity), they look great, still need to make some handmade gifts for Christmas, I guess I need to rush if I want to, I have an apliqued UFO quilt that need to be made as well, I don't think so I'll have it made just in time *sigh*
Hello Amy, I am so behind on my blog reading and commenting. I have been really busy making gifts. Not buying anything this year. I have made/am making 18 gifts. I have about 6 left to finish. I am near St. Joseph, MO.
I am Gerrie from Rockport,Tx. USA---this is on the Gulf Coast of Texas, an area called The Coastal Bend.
I haven't counted up how many gifts I have finished, but I know I still have about 6 to finish. That is because I became distracted by knitting some fun hats for the family after finding a darling little hat that looked like a baked turkey including the legs! My six month old great grand daughter looked adorable and sweet little thing that she is---she kept it on, not pulling it off. {ok, credit where credit is due---Her mommy has brushed and ribboned her thick, dark, curly hair since the day she was born so stuff on her head doesn't faze her at all]

Charlene from Lewisburg, Louisiana. I am still making gifts and if I know me, I will be still making gifts on December 24th well past midnight.

I am working on little quilts for a few of my friends!

congratulations on 600 posts. I'm very impressed with your list of things to do before next Sunday. Good luck!
Kerry in Melbourne, Australia.
Hello, I am Angela from Melbourne Florida and I have a quilting problem. Still, I'm not nearly as crazy as my quilting twin Amy, so I won't worry too much about it. She got this crazy idea to make a quilt for everyone in the world between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Can you imagine?
Congratulations on your milestone post from Mountain WI!! Its extremely cold and windy and snowy here this morning. I am so far behind on my own sewing but I plan on making some pajamas for grandkids yet and couple other things. Some quilts are made ahead and I will decide who gets one yet. And we have to get a tree too.Merry Christmas to you.
Am I too late to enter the draw? How is it with those date lines...???
Anyways - congratulations on your 600th post! Keep 'em coming!
Hugs and stitches from Anne Ida in sunny and cold Oslo, Norway
Wow 600 posts and I think that I've read all of them, lol. No wonder it's amazing to think that I've never actually met you. I made 29 little Christmas stockings, a few fleece blankets and flannel pillowcases, but no actual quilts for Christmas this year. I am her in cold Central Florida.
600 postings! Wow, Amy, keep them coming. I follow your blog daily. As far as finishing handmade Christmas gifts,I've still got the binding to sew down on a lap quilt for my husband, and I'm making a very soft crocheted blanket for my grandson who likes to pull the fuzzies off yarn.
Keep the blog posts coming!

Congrats on 600! Whoo Hooo!
I'm working on the only hand made item still -- a Christmas throw for my mom. Sewed the binding on last night. Need to join the binding and hand sew down the back. Then if time permits, add a little more quilting in the border areas. If time permits.....
Congratulations on 600 posts! That's a lot of typing and sewing! I'm from Ft. Worth, TX but I've lived in Ripon, CA for the last year (not sure at what point I'll consider myself as being from Cali... I think we are here to stay) Your quilts are amazing. I am only making 1 homemade gift this year, a snuggie for my 16 year old daughters best friend. Haven't started. Fabric sitting by my machine, taunting me!
Congrats on a beautiful 600 posts I have just stumble upon it and love it!

I MADE A FEW QUILTED PIN CUSHIONS FOR THE GIRLS IN MY FAMILY LAST SUMMER; NOW TO GET THEIR OTHER GIFTS!

Amy, I am sitting here in 60 degree Albuquerque, New Mexico. There is no snow! SO, it makes it even harder to get in the Christmas spirit. As far as my hand made gifts-WHAT WAS I THINKING! Catch the update on my blog. Thanks for the giveaway chance.
Wow, 600 posts, and all worth reading! Somerset in the UK is where I hail from, and as I'm retired I've been able to make nearly all of our Christmas presents this year, or if they've been bought I've made little bags to put them in. The only person who's missed out on hand made is my husband, but I've bought him a sculpture made by someone who lives in our village, so that's close.
Woops, suddenly realised I'm too late to enter your draw; we've been visiting family for a couple of days. Never mind, congratulations anyway - and I won a giveaway of yours some time back so I shouldn't be greedy and enter another.
Awesome! Time sure flies when you're having fun in blogland. :D
I live in NW Indiana where it is about 6 degrees this morning! Thank heaven the sun is shining. As far as quilty gifts for this year, well, I have one quilted but not bound yet. That's all. Hope your Christmas is Merry & Bright!
Great Work Amy! Whew 600 posts is quite an accomplishment. Let's see-I live near Shell Lake, Wisconsin. I am still working on Christmas projects. Too many things to do and too little extra time to do them in.
It was -21 at my house this morning.
Congrats on 600 posts from Hemet, Calif., where it was 80 degrees yesterday! Of course I'm still working on Christmas gifts -- I'm making market bags (Kwik Sew pattern #3612) in sets of two and having a grand time using some "difficult" fabrics that have accumulated the last couple years. I got a late start this year because I was finishing up a 75x75 quilt to celebrate my son's college graduation -- that will be presented to him in a couple of days. And after Christmas I get to start on a queen size quilt for his June wedding ... the fun never stops around here!
Hello,
i live in Bavaria in Germany and I like your blog.
