I dug through all of my 2", 2.5" 3.5" 4.5" bins and pulled out all pinks.
Truth: I don't have that many! But I certainly have enough to fill up the spaces in my RSC14 9-patch/Maverick Star blocks...
I was able to get some cutting done, and a little bit of sewing, but I found myself quite quickly being pulled away in other directions.
Caitlyn needed some help with her Tiger cape she's making for her DI costume (Destination Imagination). So, together, she and I pressed and seamed and cut....
I'd like to show you a V'iola! But... I failed to take a picture of the final product :\ Whoopsies.
I spent a good part of the day getting schooled in a variety of games by the girls. We played UNO, Skip-Bo, and I taught Cassie how to play Monopoly. She clearly had a little bit of beginner's luck working in her field -- I ended up being bankrupt about 55 minutes after we began :-[
Candace has been trying her hand at crochet and has progressed through a full skein of yarn. We purchased two more in order for her to make up a baby-sized afghan. She's super proud so far and excited at her new craft. I just smile and hope she keeps up her attitude. She'll only keep improving :)
The other night, Paul and the girls made up a batch of banana bread -- it lasted all of a full day! His recipe is top secret -- he's made some changes to it but has never written them down, so.... mine NEVER turns out as amazing as his.
I have two more days off away from work since we have a vacation day for President's Day. Paul mentioned trying to get Monday off of his work -- no news yet on that though.
We've been watching the Olympics from time to time, but.... for some reason the Winter Olympics don't hold my interest as much as the Summer Olympics. Although, the skating evenings have been enjoyable to watch.
Otherwise...a lot of the same ol' same ol' is going on around the household.
Happy Saturday.

Bless your heart. So much going on at your house, dear.
Love the crochet. I'm trying to learn how to crochet myself.
Looking forward to seeing some pink blocks next week : )
YEAH! RSC14!!!! I am working on mine right now too....pink isn't really my color of choice, but, oh well......blog post in a couple days. It always looks like you have so much fun with your children, and I am sure they adore you! I don't believe I have ever played a full game of Monopoly.....ever! Candace should be so proud of her beautiful afghan! I haven't watched much of the Olympics because I don't want to be too critical of the athletes performances since I am such an athlete myself! YEAH RIGHT! NOT!
