Rainbow View - Cheerful Afghan Challenge complete [Crochet]

After an extremely motivated morning of house cleaning and laundry, I decided to relax this afternoon with a movie rental and my darning needle/crochet hook.
With "Lincoln" playing in the DVD, I grabbed my almost-finished Rainbow View afghan and started weaving in the yarn ends.

I ended up adding a few more rows than what the pattern called for, but still finished it off with the recommended border.  I didn't have my tape measure, but I'm guesstimating it to be about 45" x 60";  a nice lap throw size.

I've been in a quilting slump for sure, but perhaps I'll build up some motivation for some quilting time tomorrow ...  ;)

Your afghan is gorgeous as always! I have been in the mood to crochet lately...strange how we cycle through our various hobbies!

Very pretty! I see you and Angela issuing a challenge on finishing some quilts this summer to get you back in the quilting groove! Or maybe she could take up crochet? I think it may be time for me to attempt a granny square as you go quilt where you start in the middle and keep making squares around. I remember someone making on in college and loved how her's came out.

OH....it's beautiful! The colors are great! The pattern shines through nicely! I tried to do this challenge, but had to walk away from the hook for a few days. I just wasn't getting it! I'm going to frog mine and try again!
