I would see it again!

I am not a writer, nor a critic... and my review of this movie can be summed up in a few short words...

Not a disappointment.
Highly emotional.
Amazingly talented all-star cast.
Outrageously fabulous!

There were a few short moments that seemed to stall and drag out, but overall...wow!  I would see it again in theaters in a heartbeat.

I feel like it's been forever since I've posted...

But I know that Forever is a long time...

This really says it all.  Life is good.  Busy, but good.
I haven't sewn in weeks;  even last weekend after returning from my parent's house one day early with the HOPES of sewing on Sunday.....it didn't happen.  I read instead.  And there's nothing wrong with that.  In fact, I read THREE whole books over the Thanksgiving weekend, and it was heaven!  I have missed getting lost in a good story.

Cassie's 12th birthday came and went on Wednesday.  Paul had fun picking out the re-igniting candles, and amazingly, after lots of patience a few more than a few blows, they all remained unlit and we commenced to gift opening.

The daily rituals have been fairly redundant;  wake up, school, try to fit everything in in the evening that can fit, and then repeat.  I've worked some Junior High basketball games; it's always enjoyable to see students in a different light outside of the classroom.

So yeah.  I'm SUPER glad today is Friday.  As badly as I would like to just sit and sew, I actually have other relaxing plans for the evening.  Paul is taking the younger 2 up to visit the in-laws;  Cassie has a friend over for a late birthday get-together and they want to go skating.  SO, I'm not up for skating, and the skating place is in a town 30 miles away.  What to do, what to do......I AM up for relaxing in a movie theater (and finally use up a gift certificate that's been sitting for a full year!).  Therefore, I'll drop the girls off in just over an hour, and then kick back at the movie theater to watch Skyfall.  Going to a movie by yourself is okay, right??? :D

Happy Friday

More RRCB action

Back at 'er this morning; still working on RRCB Step #3 strings. And finally, just half hour ago, I finished up sewing and pressing all the blocks, tossing them on the floor as they were getting finished.

Earlier this afternoon, I took a break because my mind was shutting down on the strings. I pulled out my box of bonus triangles and dug through them to see what I might be able to use for Step #5. And ya know what.....I'm gonna use 'em all! Goin' total scrappy!!! Otherwise, they'd continue sitting, collecting dust. I haven't counted how many I have at all...just looked. AND, next to the box are the 24 Step #3 string blocks I pieced yesterday and de-papered last night while watching Monday Night Football.

I came upstairs just a bit ago to see what the girls were doing and to start de-papering the 36 string blocks I pieced today. The girls were watching Toy Story 3. I haven't seen it yet, but found myself watching the last 30 minutes with them....GOSH! I didn't even see the whole thing and I was crying away at the end! What a sap I am! Are you too? Seriously! The littlest thing can get me teared up! ie: singing Silent Night at the Christmas Eve service last Friday. Now I think I understand why Pretty Woman (Julia Roberts) cries while at the opera!

Anyway---girls are begging to play games. I taught Cassie how to play Yahtzee last night. Caitlyn and Candace got a Yahtzee JR. for Christmas (princess version) so we all played that as well. Not sure what they have in mind right now, but I'm game ;0)

So much for sewing...

I had intentions of sewing tonight, but started flipping through channels ending on the Hallmark Channel. The Ultimate Gift caught my attention. It's not over yet, but so far has included all emotions that normally classify a movie as "a winner" to me; I've laughed and cried already....my heart has raced hoping for the plot to turn for the best...I've giggled at some lines....

Yes.....40 minutes to go and I can't wait to see how it ends.

Happy Thursday

ahhh...Happy Endings!

*sniffle*
*wiping the tears away*
Oh my goodness---what a wonderful movie! I've been sitting in the glider, sewing the binding on the OTR for the past couple of hours, watching "Enchanted". Actually, I've been watching more than sewing, so I have only finished one of the shorter sides.....*chuckle*....oops!

Okay, I think I'm going to head downstairs to actually machine sew Derek's Storm at Sea. I wonder if I can get the top pieced today before I lose too much ambition.

*sniffle*
'Tis too bad real life couldn't be so romantic, huh? *grin*

I'll check back in later.....
Happy afternoon!
