One way to beat the heat...

As POOOOPED out as I am...I simply needed to share pics of how we beat the heat today.

MORE BOATING! :0)
With a couple more friends....

Nikki and Robert are former students of mine; Nikki having been a student aide of mine AND is also our current babysitter (when needed). These two are the younger siblings of Julie, who was also a former student (student aide) and babysitter of mine, and then turned running-partner after graduation. For those of you who have gone through a family of babysitters, you'll know what I mean when I say....I am SO glad my girls are almost to the point where they don't need babysitters anymore, because my babysitters have graduated and moved on to college now. Nikki is back for this summer yet, but isn't planning to next year. These guys are such great "kids"!!!! Very respectful; very kind and funny; great work ethics; simply "great."

Candace and Robert. I think she has a crush on him because she alllways wanted to tube with Robert.

Even Paul joined in for the swimming time in today's HOT -n- MUGGY weather! The timing of this shot was perfect, albeit Paul may not find it flattering. BUT....being married for 13 years, and anyone who's been married long enough......you know there are certain "things" you do as a couple. One thing Paul and I do is give air-kisses.....ALL the time :0) I caught him sending one back right here.

And a great memory of Dad-n-Daughter right here.

Caitlyn and Nikki with the "whoa! slow down" signal.

**sigh**

There wasn't a lot of sun--_THANK GOODNESS!!!!! But there was a LOT of heat and mugginess; with dewpoints in the 80s.....temps in the 90s. The few times that the sun peeked out from behind the clouds----gAHHHH!!!! The water DEFINITELY took our mind off the heat!

But now----I'm BEAT!

Night all

That brings back memories of when my family went boating! The day after and the day after that were always when you'd feel the pain of all the 'fun' we had!
