Visiting...

The girls are enjoying their visit; out in the pool that Aunt Jenny set up.

And who needs a sewing machine? I packed up 4 or 5 different collections of fabric to cut into (or cut some more of). Because....alright....even though I admit to realllly wanting my machine (but able to live without one for a weekend), I would have a hard time not doing SOMETHING quilty!

My Pineapple Blossoms box of scraps was tidied into another 21 sets. With the 21 blocks I've already pieced, this will make a nice 6x7 layout; similar to the Red & BLack Pineapple Blossom from the January swap....

And here's the sister---not only did she set me up with some romance novels, but I "donated" a bunch of mine to her.

We don't get to each other's house very often, being 5 hours apart from each other. However, Mom's house is almost smack-dab between the two of us, so we get to see each other a few times each year and on most major holidays.

Jen is not a huge crafty person, but she did get me into scrapbooking years ago (I've since given up on it!), and she's a HUGE stamper!!!!
This is just one of her organized closet of stamps...

She also enjoys puzzling...
.....NEITHER of these two hobbies inspire me, so.....we're a well-rounded family when all the talents are combined.

Hope your Friday is an enjoyable one...

I find it fascinating that two siblings can be so different. My boys are the same, completely different interests

I use to have at least that much stamping stuff-probably lots more. i gave it up to have room and time to focus just on quilting. All of my stamps went to my cousin though so I can call her and travel 6 hours when ever I am desperate for stamping-last year we did Christmas cards in October. I have even made a quilt with my stamps and it came out great!

Same with my family... Totally different interests. But that is awesome that you took things to work on while you visit! I would've done the same thing. I even made my dad pull out my mom's vintage avocado sewing machine when I was down there a couple of years ago. Mom never uses it and it really surprises me that Dad let her move it to FL when they went! lol

I love that you are so organized as to get your project together while visiting your sister. In AZ my sister is an hour between me and my mom...we do a lot of meeting in the middle too! Also, I have some stamping envy after seeing your sister's collection...I used to do a lot of stamping, now rarely do but only have about 8 drawers of stamps and a tote of supplies...all taking up room in my quilting studio!

Love the pic of the girls in the pool. hubby and his brother are completely different in every way apart from looks.
i always get some hand sewing prepared for when I go away. Something nice and portable like a cushion panel or hexagons

Love and hugs Gina xxx

I love to see how people organize their crafts and hobbies! Your sister has done a very nice job with her space.

I love to put together puzzles but never seem to do it. I should.
