Must resist! MUST RESIST! M.U.S.T. R.E.S.I.S.T!!!! A QAL

Okay... picture Sid the Sloth speaking.....

"I. Do. this. EVERY. Year!"
The start of the new year hits.  I've thoroughly enjoyed Christmas vacation, and the relaxing STRESS-FREE schedule!  I start jumping on band-wagons of New Quilting Resolutions and upcoming yearly challenges.

ie:  I'm back IN Angela's (SoScrappy) 2014 Rainbow Scrap Challenge. WITH a plan this year!
ie:  I've loaded up on amazing new fabrics for a King size quilt for my sister

.....
ummmm.
Alright, I guess I didn't go TOO overboard this New year's on 2014 projects!
Ahhhhh.......but we ARE only a week into the new year ;)

I'm okay to add another to that list then, right?????  Afterall, Bonnie's mystery has now been solved, and I'm progressing towards finishing it!

Melissa Corry (Happy Quilting) is offering out a Quilt along starting soon!

The schedule:
Jan 15 - Intro, Fabric Requirements, and Prizes Announcement
Jan 29 - Cutting
 Feb 5 - Flying Geese
Feb12 - Half Square Triangles
Feb 19 - Building Block Centers
Feb 26 - Building Block Sides
Mar 5 - Building Block Corners
Mar 12 - Piecing Top and Grand Prize Linky
April 2- Star Light Star Bright Parade and Grand Prize Winners

Golly!  That's seems do-able, right!?!?!?
This quilt, in the COLORS she chose to use in her design, absoLUTEly catch my eye for a QOV.  Am I right???
And....January 29....that's a few weeks away; I'm sure I can get my act together with Celtic Solstice, right??  And Jen's Berquist Beauty??  Sure...sure.... I can do that!  I can!

Ummmm....help me now!  Tell me to stop perusing blogs! And Ravelry!  And Pinterest!

I suppose I could always quit my job?  THAT would give me some stress-free time to quilt and sew.
Although....a new stress would emerge:  financial stress.

**sigh**
Why does life has to be so stressful and frustrating? :\

Jes lemme quilt!  Jes lemme play with lovely, beautiful fabrics.  Is that really too much to ask?????

Hahahaha.....I'm retired and can't keep up. My problem is I want to do them and finish nothing.

I hear ya! I gave in to temptation on another BOM for a QOV today too! AND I decided to do those 6 inch blocks of Angela's. I have really enjoyed her midget blocks so I am just gonna make time! :) So glad I am not the only one who thinks I should quit my job and sew!

If you plan any more quilts what will happen to your crochet? Perhaps you could save the posts and see if you have any time later in the year? Perhaps if you stopped reading blogs and Ravelry and Pinterest you'd have more time to quilt? I know, I'm being the voice of reason and that's probably the last thing you want to hear!

Use a carrot and not a stick. If you finish CS then you can start a new quilt. Sounds reasonable. Pesky jobs keep getting in the way of sewing time. Speaking of jobs -- are you guys ever headed back to school. It can't stay cold much longer. Can it?

I did quit my job to quilt and I still am not getting more quilting done, not really. Mostly I am playing taxi to my kids and running errands.

Just sayin'. When you quit your job, there are more temptations out there 'cos you have more time to find them. But THEN you don't have the dosh to pay for 'em. LOL
