Losing steam...

Yup.  Tired today.  Sadly, still having lingering thoughts on the blah from yesterday, I think.  I know I'm not alone when I say I WISH I had an on/off switch!

I'm hoping some Beegees will get me into the mood!  Playing on Spotify right now: "STAYIN' ALIVE!"  (Sooo needed right now!)  (haven't heard of Spotify?  If you are a Facebook user, check it out!  FREE music; and they have just about EVERY artist and song that has ever existed!)

At least I did have about an hour of happiness last night while watching Bonnie on Quiltcam!  (and laughing while chattin' away with Andee!)

Thankfully the tomatoes need another day of ripening before I need to process them.  No ambition today for that.  **sigh**

The design wall is seeing slow leader-ender progress;  a few more "C" block gaps ....

But right now, the "C" blocks are fighting with some Christmas Goose units in the leader-ender area.

Under the needle: Old Glory, blanket stitching the applique stars.

**Stretching**  **yawning**

I think I need a change of pace today.  Beach maybe?  Maybe a walk outside will help?

On another note: when I was snapping pictures around the quilting room, I saw THESE hanging on the back of Cassie's sewing chair.  So, I schlepted them upstairs and had her pose.  Great progress on her self-designed quilt!  The Fab Five.  But even she isn't down with me in my quilt room right now;  she has the duty of going through her clothes and cleaning her room today;  she wants to spend the night tomorrow at a friend's house, so that's the deal.

Bleh......

Hasn't she done well? It will be fabulous.
Hope you get some time to relax and recharge those batteries, you've done so much over the last few weeks

Amy, I am sooo sorry about your rotten work "luck" the other day! You are truly an inspiration to so many of us out here in blogland with your beautiful quilts, wonderful children, and go-go-go attitude! You get more done in a slow week than I do all year (unfortunately, not kidding!). I want you to know that there ARE people who appreciate all you do.
Hope today is happier and full of quilty goodness,
Tricia

I can't get very motivated today either. Today is my daughter's first day of high school-not too happy about that.
Should be cleaning, should be doing laundry-think i'll go work with Lizzie instead.
Beach sounds good to me! Wish I wasn't 1000+ miles away from one!

How nice it would be to put negative thoughts away and switch mental gears. Sometimes stewing leads to decisions, but often that isn't a possibility, and it just leads to wheel spinning. It isn't fair to loose your last happy summer hours. Those hours are precious! Enjoy them before you HAVE to switch gears back to school thoughts.

Sometimes bad thoughts just keep on whirring round and round in our heads don't they, and keep getting worse and worse. I do hope you manage to get some relaxation, away from vegetables, family, quilts and school stuff before you go back to school. It sounds as if you need it.

We could all use an on-off switch sometimes, maybe you need some r and r, I vote for the beach with a tub of fried chicken, picnic lunches are too much work. Cassie looks like a chip off the block, her Fab Five is fabulous for sure, love those hot colors.
